My mother always told me to read the recipe all the way through before you start baking. Alas, she was right. The recipe said you're supposed to mix together the oats, flour, cinnamon, and butter, put half of it in the pan, then add the apples, then put the rest of the oat/flour mixture on top, and then sprinkle the sugar on top. But I didn't read that part until I had mixed all the ingredients together in a bowl- oops!
I didn't follow the recipe, but really, how bad could baked apples, sugar, butter, and cinnamon be, right? Right?
This is supposed to be for our Literacy Launch Pad group tomorrow evening and I have to work tomorrow during the day. I'm going to cook it anyway and see how it is.
How were they? Don't think it'd be bad at all. Sounds like a lovely fall idea. Have fun tonight. We don't have an Ipad or Iphone yet, but those are notes that I'd love to get for the future!
