Rock-a-Bye Baby
We have a CD of nursery rhymes set to music that someone gave us. Anthony loves it- he smiles as soon as we put it on, and it if he's really cranky it will calm him down when nothing else will. He happily listens to the first 9 songs, and as soon as "Rock-a-Bye Baby" comes on, he falls right asleep.

Anthony is 6 months old!!!
Anthony is 6 months old today! Today is also special because it means that Anthony has now spent more time home with us than he did in the hospital.
Here is a photo montage to mark the day. There's music with it, so turn your volume on. The words to the song are below- enjoy!
"Wonder"
Doctors have come from distant cities
Just to see me
Stand over my bed
Disbelieving what they're seeing
They say I must be one of the wonders
Of god's own creation
And as far as they can see they can offer
No explanation
O, I believe
Fate smiled and destiny
Laughed as she came to my cradle
Know this child will be able
Laughed as my body she lifted
Know this child will be gifted
With love, with patience and with faith
She'll make her way
People see me
I'm a challenge to your balance
I'm over your heads
How I confound you and astound you
To know I must be one of the wonders
Of god's own creation
And as far as you can see you can offer me
No explanation
O, I believe
Fate smiled and destiny
Laughed as she came to my cradle
Know this child will be able
Laughed as she came to my mother
Know this child will not suffer
Laughed as my body she lifted
Know this child will be gifted
With love, with patience and with faith
She'll make her way

Comment on Comments
I changed the setting so it's easier to make comments on this blog. I didn't realize it was requiring a commenter to register a Google account. Should be much simpler now (Grandma Marge- this means you!).

Aunt Peggy Comes to Visit
Aunt Peggy came from NY to meet Anthony last weekend. They hit it off right away!
Aunt Peggy served as Anthony's personal trainer during her stay (or was it the other way around???)
On Saturday we all took a walk on the esplanade and over the Hawthorne Bridge. Anthony wasn't impressed.

A new friend arrives on the scene!
This week we had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of young Zoe Vanderzanden, age 2 weeks, 1 day. She's full of charm and personality (and hair!) already! Welcome, Zoe!
