We're so proud of our boy. Anthony did GREAT on his first day at The Big House.
At drop-off, we were much more stressed out than he was. He was very pleased to see his cubby. He immediately spotted the matchbox cars on the floor, signed "cars" and was off with no looking back.
For us, the day went by verrrrry slowly and we had to resist the urge to call to see how things were going.
But the report was great. He ate, played, and even took a nap at quiet time. He especially liked going on the big slide. Some quotes from the daily journal:
- After breakfast we headed outside where Anthony bounced and pushed the big balls around with O. The boys worked to push the big balls through the tube- laughing as the ball popped out on the other side.
- In the back, N., A. Anthony, K. and O. swarmed around the blue table to paint.
And a report from another Mom:
- When I picked up D., Anthony was right in the middle of the pack of a group of very energetic boys who were all running, climbing and jumping. He was joining in and looked delighted.
He was smiling huge at pick-up, and seemed very happy about his experience.
He had a bit of a meltdown during dinner and bath time (but doesn't everyone on their first day back after a long weekend?) and he conked out by 8:00. He wore himself out!
This morning he marched right up the steps, ready for his second day. There was a little clinging when I said goodbye, but he was a brave boy and went off to go play. What a great kid!
