Mother's Day: What a difference a year makes!

I had a fantastic Mother's Day weekend. On Sunday, we had lunch with Grandma Jeanne and then spent the rest of the day hanging out in the backyard. Mother Nature made sure it was sunny and warm for our day. On Saturday, we took Anthony for a wagon ride to the park. This made me think of last Mother's Day. It was my first one, and Anthony was still in the hospital. But he was doing great and we knew we were going to be able to take him home very soon. As a surprise for Mother's Day, when we came to the NICU for our visit, we found out that Anthony's nurse, Natalie, had arranged for us to take Anthony for a wagon ride...outside! It was the first time we were able to take him out of the NICU. What a special first Mother's Day. Here's the video of him riding down the hallway in his Superman shirt.

He's so much bigger now (and he has so much more hair!), but he's still my baby.
