We're supposed to be in Albuquerque tonight, visiting Kate and Kurt and their cats. But after 103-degree fever, a sleepless night, and a diagnosis of strep throat, we cancelled our trip and are stuck here in Portlandia.

Thanks to popsicles and the miracle of antibiotics, the little guy seems to be on the mend. Albuquerque- home of Ethel Mertz and Jesse Pinkman- we'll meet someday.
Sorry you had to cancel your trip; I hope he is feeling all better quickly. It is hard watching our little ones sick.
