Kinder-Friendly Tannenbaum

It's Christmastime and time to put up the tree! But what do you do when you have a toddler who doesn't quite grasp the meaning of "Don't pull that thing down on top of yourself" yet? Well, if you're us, you come up with an ingenious solution: Just lop off some of the bottom branches.

Maybe we got a little carried away.

But it seemed to be working. Anthony had zero interest in the tree.

Until he realized...

...it's fun to put your toys inside of the treestand full of water and see what happens.

Duct tape to the rescue!

Now that's classy! This also works to prevent a certain cat from drinking the water.

Now all there's left to do is decorate.

Work in progress.

Hey! These were in the box labeled "Good Christmas lights."

We think it's beautiful!

Thank you, Daddy.

  1. I think you should patent that Christmas Tree plus Stand combo.

  2. Maybe they make red and green duct tape? Duct Tape fixes everything! So pretty- I kind of like it cut up high like that!
