A Masterpiece

Anthony has been transitioning to the bigger kids' room at daycare.  He's doing great and really seems to love it.  Today he participated in Art for the very first time!  He needed a little help holding the paintbrush, but he produced this, his first piece:

Of course you'll agree it is absolutely exquisite.

Hanging in the gallery.

  1. I LOVE IT!!! It's clearly an autumnal harvest theme, with the greens transitioning into golden orange warmth and vibrancy! HE'S AMAZING!!! What a great picture, I can't wait to see it in person! My man!!! XOXOXO

  2. It is exquisite! Really- I would be scanning it into the computer, uploading it to snapfish and printing it out on every consumer product known to man- t-shirts, cups, mouse pads. I'm not kidding! I can't wait to get something to do this with! He did such a good job!

The transition is going well then? Is he in there full time yet? Our school is being more cautious with Abby- I'm grateful- she seems to melt-down with all the commotion- twice as many kids- so she goes over twice a day now- 30 min to 90 minutes depending on how well she's coping. The kids got a temper and the staff have noticed. :) How is the crawling/walking part of it going with all the other kids there? I still worry about that the most with Abby.

  3. Hi Nicole- He's in the big kids's room 2 days per week and in the infant room (with a few others close to his age) one day per week. So far so good (at least that's what they tell us). They say he's been racing around all over the place using his commando crawl, and he hasn't been trampled (yet!). The other kids (especially the girls) kind of look out for him, handing him toys and things :) It's funny- I pushed to get them to move him along to the big kids' room and then when it happened, I panicked a little and wasn't sure if he/I was ready! But I do think it's been good for him. He comes home so fired up and full of beans!

  4. Stunning! I can't wait to see Anthony's first painting in person. Perhaps he has taken after his Grandma Jean and her artistic talent. Pat
